Develop HBCU outreach for the fifth and final season of the popular HBO series Insecure. Create a HBCU virtual mid-season screening event. Include colleges and universities that do not receive as much recognition as some of the larger schools. Cultivate an ongoing relationship with the HBCU community and increase multicultural Gen Z engagement.

Partnered with HBO once again to present HBO POV Career Conversations to highlight the ongoing commitment to diversity, career development and HBCU outreach. Sixteen HBCUs enjoyed a virtual advance screening of HBO’s Insecure and Q&A with Insecure behind the scenes talent who included Kira Talise (Script Coordinator), Felicia Leatherwood (Issa Rae’s Hairstylist) and Eli Wilson Pelton (Executive Story Editor). The virtual event was moderated by entertainment journalist Gia Peppers. The participating schools included Alabama A&M University, Benedict College, Coppin State University, Delaware State University, Florida A&M University, Howard University, Jackson State University, Morehouse College, Norfolk State University, North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina Central University, Spelman College, Tuskegee University, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Virginia State University and Xavier University of Louisiana.
