Produce a documentary that showcases the hidden talent and ambition of young Canadians and veterans in the world of entertainment.
STRATEGY
Took viewers on a thought provoking ride through Toronto from an industry insider perspective. The interviewees shared their insight on how far the city of Toronto has come, where it is going and the accomplishments achieved by its fellow citizens worldwide. Identified a national distribution vehicle that effectively captures the interest of African American consumers in the United States.
RESULTS
Secured a licensing deal with Urban Movie Channel (UMC), an over-thetop SVOD service operated by AMC Networks that was rebranded as Allblk in January 2021. The streaming service created by Robert L. Johnson, founder of Black Entertainment Television (BET), focuses exclusively on Black television and film. Executed digital marketing, social media and publicity campaigns that resulted in millions of impressions for the documentary.
